Exton is one of the prettiest villages on the trail - pity there has been so much controversy here about the route of our National Trail - which in 2009 was still continuing. The photo shows the trail going almost past the door of The Shoe
Neverless, Carole at the Shoe Inn always make us very welcome as we finish one day and begin the next here.
Sitting in their garden besides the clear water of the Meon River, sipping a cold drink after a glorious day of walking, is as good as life gets .....
